What is the silent listing service?
Our silent listing service has been designed especially for those of you who may not feel comfortable with certain details appearing online.
A silent listing means your direct contact details will not be available for the general public to view when they perform a search. Instead, if you have a silent listing and someone wants to find you, we will contact you with complete confidentiality via email or sms. The searcher doesn’t ever get to see your details. We send their name and contact details to you on their behalf via email or sms and you choose to get in touch or not.
With our silent listing, you’re in control. You choose a few limited details you want listed, you choose how you would like us to contact you and you choose if you want to respond to any contact messages. It’s all up to you. Of course, as with all of our memberships, you’re free to update or change your details anytime you wish, 24/7.

So how do I know if you will contact me via email or sms?
When you sign-up with Mobile Directory, you will be asked to select your preferred contact method. You can choose email, sms or both. Our administration process requires you to enter a valid email address to become a member and naturally, if you choose sms, we need to have a valid mobile phone number for you.
Our silent listing service attracts a charge of $19.95. There is no further charge for the email contact preference. If you choose sms as your contact preference, you will be charged $19.95 plus the cost of the sms credit package you select. We have 3 sms packages for you to choose from on the payment page of the sign-up process. How can I search for a number?
Searching is easy. Go to our home page and fill in the boxes to help with your search, remembering the more details you can provide, the better. Hit SEARCH and within seconds your results will appear on the screen in front of you. Remember response times may be governed by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you wish, you can have a search result sent to you via email or sms (sms charges and conditions apply).
How is the information given back to me?
Results will come up automatically according to your search criteria and the information the member chooses to have displayed. You can also choose to print, email or sms* a search results. (sms charges apply)
What happens if I don’t find the number I am looking for?
If we are unable to provide the result you need, you may be asked to search again, changing the information you have entered. If there are no matches on our database for your request, let us know as we would like to try and secure those results for you in the future.

How long are my details listed?
Your free listing will be displayed indefinitely unless you decide to remove it or we have reason to believe your account is no longer valid. So that we can keep listings up to date, we may contact you via your email from time to time to confirm your membership information. A return email confirming your details will maintain your free listing.
For our paid membership levels, your details will be listed while ever you remain financial as a member. Should you become non-financial, we will put your listing on hold for a period of time until you renew or cancel.
Can I change my details anytime I like?
Yes. You are in control. One of the great things that you can do with www.MobileDirectory.com.au is change your information at anytime, from anywhere in the world where you can access the internet. Just sign-in to the members area and go to change details.

At MobileDirectory we use Paypal as a payment option. We utilise a new version of Paypal which offers you a greater level of protection. Be aware that this version of Paypal only offers payment options with Credit cards, regretfully Direct Debit options are not available.
Can I get a refund if I am not satisfied with the service?
At MobileDirectory your peace-of-mind and satisfaction is extremely important to us. If you are not completely satisfied with the service that we offer or your circumstances change then we will refund 100% of your Membership Fee within the first three months of membership. Will my membership details be kept private?
Your membership details, aside from those you choose to have published on the results page, will remain absolutely confidential. Can you explain what protection you have for sending and receiving information?

What should I enter in the “Referred by” box on the Administration page of the sign-up process?
Here at MobileDirectory, we like to say thank you to our members for referring us on to friends and colleagues. So if one of our members told you about us, please enter their username in this box. This way, you will help to increase their chances of winning a great prize for “Telling a Friend”. But remember, you must enter their username so we know exactly who to thank.
Once you become a member, we also invite you to tell colleagues and friends about us, mentioning your username, so that you too can be in the running for a great prize.
What is the “Promotional Code” on the Payment page?
From time to time, we offer special deals and incentives. These are accompanied by a clearly marked promotional code that helps us process details accurately. If you have one of these promotional codes, you will need to enter it here on the payment page to receive your bonus. If you do not enter it, our system will not be able to identify the promotion and we won’t be able to pass the bonus on to you.
I have filled out the boxes on a page and am trying to move forward but nothing is happening.
In case you haven’t tried this yet, click the “Next” button at the bottom of each page. If you have done this and the same page is still appearing, you may have skipped over some required information. Go back over the page and make sure you have filled out every box required. Most required information is marked with an asterix beside the box (*). If you can’t see that you have missed anything, try looking for the cursor as it will often go to the box it requires you to fill out.

I have entered my credit card number but it is saying that it is invalid.
In case you haven’t done this already, just check back over the numbers you have entered to make sure they are all correct.
Our system also requires that your card has a minimum of one month validity left. It will not accept a card that expires in the same month that you are joining. So, if you are entering the current month and year, you will need to provide an updated expiry date from your new card or use a different credit card with longer validity.
I’ve found the number but how do I find the dialling or area code?
Generally you should find that the following area codes apply. Please not that some
Northern areas of Victoria may use the area code 02 and some southern parts of NSW
may use the area code 03.
NOTE: Remember that you DO NOT use an area code when dialing a
mobile phone. Just dial the mobile number that is shown on the site to contact the

\What do I have to do if I have lost or forgotten my password?
MobileDirectory takes your security very seriously. So, in order to ensure the highest protection of your information, you will need to be issued with a new temporary password.

If you have forgotten your password then click on the Forgot Your Password? Link at the top right corner of any MobileDirectory page.

You will then be asked to enter your Username.

Once you have entered your Username, you will be asked to answer the security question you chose when you first joined MobileDirectory.

You need to answer this question correctly.

If you are unable to remember your security answer then contact us at admin@mobiledirectory.com.au for help.

Once the correct answer has been entered, the system will create a new password and email it to your last registered email address.

This new password is system generated and no-one else has it. It is quite unique!
Once you have received your new password we suggest you use it to access the Members Area and change the password to something more familiar to you.
You can easily copy the new password from the email and paste it straight into the
password box as requested by following a few simple steps.

How do I change my password?
- In order to change your password, you will need to enter your Username and current
Password in the Members Area box in the top right hand corner of any page.

If you have forgotten your password and received a temporary one from our system, you will need to enter that password.
How to copy your temporary password:
An easy way to do this is to highlight the new temporary password from the email. To do this, highlight the password by double clicking on it. Then take your finger off the mouse and hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and then push down on the letter C key. (Ctrl + C is a copy shortcut and your highlighted information should now be copied over onto your clipboard ready for pasting.)
To paste the new password, just go to the Members Area box, enter your Username, place the cursor in the password box and hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and push down on the letter V key. (Ctrl + V is a paste shortcut and your new password should automatically be entered in the password box.)

Once inside the Members Area click on Change Your Password.

You will be asked to enter your current password. This is the password you chose on joining MobileDirectory or the system generated temporary password mentioned above if you have forgotten your password.

You will then be asked to enter a new password of your choosing. Remember, the new password must be a minimum of 5 characters long. The password can be a combination of letters and numbers. (Using a combination of letters and numbers makes it harder for people to guess!)
- You will then be asked to confirm your new password.

Once changed, you will use the new password for all future access to the Members Area.

Your password and username should not be stored anywhere that may be accessed by others. This information is confidential and sensitive and should be protected to maintain maximum security.
Am I able to download the sign-up/membership forms and send them to you rather than apply online?
At MobileDirectory we aim to provide you with convenience as well as peace of mind. For Individual listings, if you would prefer to complete a written application and then fax or mail it to us, all you need to do is click on the link below, print off the form, complete it and send it to us. Your free membership will become active on receipt of the completed form or, if you applying for a paid listing or facility, on clearance of your payment.

When I was signing up, there was a tick box to receive MobileDirectory Offers. What
does this mean?
At MobileDirectory, we're always looking for great offers that we can pass on to you, our members. These offers include freebies, heavily discounted items, special deals and advanced purchases. Aside from receiving a fantastic offer, the great thing is that MobileDirectory offers come straight from us to you - your details are never passed onto any person or organization. And that's a promise!

When I was signing up, there was a tick box to receive 3rd Party Offers. What does
this mean?
There are lots of fantastic offers out there and many companies want to bring these offers directly to you. I am signing up for a Business listing and it asks for an Account Manager. Who should
I nominate?
The Account Manager is your representative who is the main point of contact for your MobileDirectory account. This
would be the person we would contact if the need arises.
Is there a way for me to make a suggestion or to give you feedback?
In our Cool Stuff area there is a tab called Cool Links. Inside Cool Links is a Suggestion Box link. This is where you can give us general feedback, report a fault, make a suggestion or ask a question. There is also a Contact Us link at the bottom
of every page. We look forward to hearing from you.
Have you paid by Cheque or Money Order and would prefer to pay now?
You can! Simply log into the Members Area and go to Your Details and then Your Account. From there you can pay with your Credit Card for an immediate listing. When your cheque or Money Order is received it will simply be returned to the address you registered with.
What do the Stars mean on a listing?
At Mobile Directory we provide our Business Customers a choice. Business Customers can choose from a Free Listing or a paid 2, 3 or 4 Star listing. A 2 Star listing is our most economical paid listing, next is our 3 Star and then our top rated 4 Star. For an example of what each listing looks like just click on the link.Click Here for Sample Listings. The Star rating is a priority listing, it is NOT an endorsement or rating by MobileDirectory of the Business.
How are Search Results shown?
When you Search for a Business Listing the results are shown in the following way. An actual hit (as an example), say a Plumber in Chatswood would show all 4 Star, then 3 Star, then 2 Star and finally Free listings. Following that, Plumbers that service Chatswood would follow in the same 4, 3, 2 Star then Free listing.
How do I fill the space when signing up for a 3 or 4 star listing?
The space that comes with a 3 or 4 star listing is there for you to enter whatever you choose.
You can use the space for images or text, its your choice.
Remember that if you use an image it has to be resized to the dimensions shown within the sign up pages.
If you require help with the resizing of an image you can contact us and we can refer you to help.
I have not received any emails from you confirming my membership and payment. What’s happening?
To ensure you receive important emails from us such as your membership confirmation and payment receipt, just make sure you’re checking the email account you registered when you became a member. We’ve sometimes spent days tracking through the system only to realise the member has been checking the wrong email account! If that’s not the issue, check your Bulk/Junk email folder and see if there are any emails there from MobileDirectory.
If there are, click on the message to highlight or open it and then click on the “Not Spam” or “Mark as Safe” button. This will tell your email provider that you want to receive these kind of emails from us.
It is also a good idea to add us to your address book or contact list. This will also ensure you receive all emails in the future.
Many email service providers place restrictions on how they deliver email to you. Some of these restrictions may prevent you from receiving mail.

Step 1. Double click our name in the “From” address column of your Inbox. This will maximize the message.
Step 2. Right click on our email address on the upper left corner of the message. This will open up a menu box. Click on “Add to Outlook Contacts”.
Step 3. Our email address will appear in a text box. Click “Save & Close”. |

To Allow or White List our emails:
Step 1. Click on the Junk Mail folder in your folders list
Step 2. Right click on our message in the list of messages
Step 3. Point to the “Junk E-mail” on the pop-up list
Step 4. Click on “Add Sender to Safe Sender’s List” or Click on “Add Sender’s Domain to Safe Senders List”
To Add to Address Book:
Step 1. Double click our name in the “From” address column of your Inbox. This will maximize the message.

To Allow or White List our emails:
Step 1. Go to the Spam folder
Step 2. You can select multiple messages by checking the box in front of each message
Step 3. Then click the “Not Spam” button
To Add to Address Book:
Step 1. Locate the message in your inbox.
Step 2. Right click on the message and choose “Add to Contact”.
Step 3. Then click on “Save” on the next screen. |

Step 1. While viewing a message from us, select “Add Sender” or click on the “Add” icon
Step 2. The "Add to Address Book" pop-up appears with our name and email address.
